Everyone wants to win and ultimately be successful in every endeavor they pursue. Dreaming of your potential is great but the difference between dreaming of success and being in a dream land is all about how you approach your target.
I encourage everyone to take a step back and on a piece of paper write your present state which is what your current business and social status then write your desired state. Be brutally honest with your answer, this is not an outcome or exit strategy for your business but the lifestyle you see yourself living.
Here is an example.
Present state: Living from cheque to cheque, struggling to pay the mortgage and not having time to spend with family, friends and myself.
Desired state: Running a successful business, being financially stable, working 4 hour days and 4 days a week, having the freedom to have a vibrant social life and enjoy spending quality time with friends and family.
Your goal is to align your present state with your desired state and make the necessary plans to achieve this. This is more than your motivation, this is the lifestyle you deserve, to hear people talk about you in a positive light, to touch everyone with your success and to feel all the hard work you put in is clearly worth it.
I’m a firm believer that success isn’t all about having an amazing idea, a good idea will make you incredibly wealthy, but it all comes down to the execution. So, with your present state and desired state in hand it’s time to make your desires become a reality, it’s time you make plans and execute it with excellence and don’t stop until you have achieved the lifestyle your deserve.
